On May 21st, the Chamber held Coffee with the Chamber and Ronald McDonald House Charites of Saskatchewan.
Here are our Top 3 Take Aways!
- New Facility Expansion – A 20-bedroom facility is under construction at Scarth Street and 15th Ave in Regina, near the General Hospital. Set to open in early 2027, this location will join a network of over 387 Ronald McDonald Houses worldwide.
- Affordability & Economic Relief – Families with medical needs can stay close to their child for just $10 per night, significantly reducing financial strain.
- Community Support & Engagement – Fundraising efforts, including rounding up at McDonald’s and McHappy Day, play a crucial role in sustaining operations. Volunteering, such as cooking meals at the house, offers a hands-on way to contribute.
Empowering Young Entrepreneurs in Weyburn –Apply for a $5,000 Bursary
The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, funded by the Government of Saskatchewan, is proud to introduce the Young Entrepreneur Bursary Program. This initiative aims to support 57 young entrepreneurs across the province with $5,000 bursaries and valuable mentorship opportunities.
Eligibility:
- Aged 18-35
- Operate a for-profit business registered and based in Saskatchewan
- Business has been operating for 10 years or less (preference for those under 5 years)
Application Timeline:
- Opens: May 21, 2025
- Closes: July 14, 2025
- Recipients Announced: September 30, 2025
