President’s Message – March 2026

As I share my final monthly message as President, I want to extend my sincere thanks to our members, board, volunteers, and community partners.

It has been an honor to serve this Chamber and to work alongside so many dedicated people who care deeply about the success of our local business community. Your support, collaboration, and commitment have made this role both meaningful and rewarding.

I am confident the Chamber is well positioned for continued growth and impact, and I look forward to supporting its work in new ways in the future. Thank you for the trust you placed in me and for all you do to make our community strong.

With that said, the Chamber hosted a great event on February 25th, where Mayor Jeff Richards spoke about ‘The State of the City”. Mayor Richards provided an inside look into the decision himself and Council make regarding day to day operations, major infrastructure, roads, facilities, and what is probably most important, the Future. The Chamber in planning on growing and expanding to make this an annual event, so make sure you don’t miss the next one.

March brings some exciting events, with the Chamber on Tap on March 5th with the voice of Saskatchewan Evan Bray.

March 6th marks the last day to get nominations in for the Golden Spike Award. If you know of someone or a local business who has shown outstanding community involvement and support, honor them by nominating them. Details and nomination forms can be found on the Chamber’s website.

March 25th is the Presidents Dinner and Chamber AGM. This has turned into one of the Chambers biggest events that is also highlighted by the presentation of the Golden Spike Award. Come join an evening celebrating the strength, success and future of Weyburn’s business Community. This event brings members together to reflect on the past year, recognize outstanding achievements, and look ahead to what’s next for our local economy.
