A few weeks ago the Weyburn Chamber held our President’s Luncheon along with our Annual General Meeting. I would like to thank everyone who attended and made the event a success. The Weyburn Chamber had a successful year in 2022, and we are looking forward to what 2023 has in store for our organization and how we can help our members. As most of you know, for the first time in awhile we had to hold an election for the one vacant position on the board. I would like to thank all candidates for putting their name forward. Congratulations to Ryan Skjerdal on becoming the newest member of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 10th WEYBEX Awards on April 28th, 2023. This event was created to recognize and celebrate achievements in business excellence for Weyburn and surrounding businesses. I would personally like to thank anyone that put forth a nomination. Our community has some amazing businesses that deserve to be recognized. It shows that our business community is strong, and the entrepreneurial spirit is growing. If you were a nominated business, I would like you to take pride in the fact that someone believes that your business can make a difference. Finally, I would like to congratulate all the finalists, and we look forward to celebrating with you at the Gala! Currently Weyburn Regional Economic Development has a survey in circulation that is seeking your participation to help us understand what our future investment opportunities are in our community. This survey will be coming through a third-party facilitator to compile the information that we are seeking. Your input to help our economic development and growth plays an important role. Please fill out the survey as there will be a prize of a $100 Gift Card for those who participate.
Weyburn Tourism will also be doing a survey in the next week so watch for your inboxes! There may be some big changes coming to that organization, and they are looking for support from our tourism industry leaders!
